Colette Brown: (turtlette)

I am a retired teacher/social worker and Grandmother of four: Garrett, Darby, Ethan and Dalton.. I am a board member of the Whitchurch Stouffville Library, I run a Books on Wheels program, ensuring that seniors, disabled and patrons that are homebound have access to books.

Jim Brown: (turtle man)

I am an advocate for the disabled. I enjoy public speaking, my service dog and the rescue of turtles. My main focus is the pet/retail turtles (red-eared sliders). For thirty years, I have been an advocate for the survival and fair treatment of reptiles.

I am Jack.

You probably noticed my harness. I wear this because I am Jim’s service dog. I assist Jim in his daily activities. I also have privileges that other dogs don’t have. I am not a pet, I am classified as a working dog assisting a disabled person therefore I legally accompany Jim on his hospital visits and trips to the mall. Whenever I am at home Jim removes my harness and I can play like other dogs.
