Site visits are for educational purposes.
Some teachers like to include it in their Science curriculum for the year. We want to help instill the responsibility of pet care. We also stress the importance of leaving the environment as they find it as children and parents endeavor to explore nature. We like to point out a pet is for life. Children have hands on experience with turtles, lizards, snakes, and also the etiquette of dealing with a service animal .
